FURNACUBED™ 70 is a 74% alumina, non-wetting to aluminum, low cement castable that can be vibration cast, self-flow cast, or shotcreted. This product has excellent thermal shock resistance to 2000°F. It has been used for preformed blocks in an aluminum furnace and has been shotcreted in aluminum furnace upper and lower walls. Unlike other FURNACUBED™ products, this product is recommended for use only in aluminum furnace applications. Therefore, its maximum non-metal contact use temperature is 2500°F.
